initial ideas

I just sent off some initial ideas for The River logo. The brief was to make them look like it is in the same family as The Deep but kind of the opposite at the same time because it is the fresh water version. Also it has to look quite sophisticated, not like a sea life centre, and the palette for the whole thing needs to step away from purples and blues (The Deep's colours) and be yellows, oranges, reds and browns like the amazon river or a South American/African feel.




Just put a break in the two Rs - lines, rivers you get it.



The lines on the first one are meant to represent the concept of the exhibition which is the idea of the water level. The circle on the other one is meant to be like a sun in a valley (v) or look like a tribal marking.


This looks a bit like The Lion King but it has that ethnic look


Because the deep has circles as an element throughout all branding, i thought the river could have lines as its thing, then they will look the same but different you see.
